A Short Description of the ASRE

  _______________________

The ASRE (Association for Education in Regenerative Energy Technology) is a non-profit

organisation which is made up of interested people who are working in various branches

that may or may not have to do with regenerative energy. Our organisation develops and

builds prototypes (in the range of up to 2 kW electrical power), which are driven with

different forms of regenerative energy. Our organisation has been active since 1993 and

understands itself as a partner for help to self help, having the goal to help needy people

living in areas where the sun often shines. The ASRE offers schooling programs which

teach the user how to operate and repair these prototype units.

The General Goal of the Organisation

  ________________________

Our organisation ASRE has set itself the goal to develop and promote the use of

regenerative energy technology in all relevant fields. The ASRE also works as a partner for

help to self-help with the objective to help needy people living in those parts of the world

where there is sufficient sunshine to enable the use of these types of units. The main

objective of this partnership is to enable technology transfer, education and giving support

to those NGO`s (non government organisations) working in target areas.

Structure and Working Principle of the ASRE

  _____________________________

Within the ASRE there are areas of responsibility. When an enquiry regarding a project is sent to us from interested people, this enquiry is passed on to our technology analysis section (2). The enquiry is analysed to see if improvement of the economical and social situation of the target group can be expected. A meeting with the co-ordinators of the sections 4 and 5 takes place, afterwards resulting in an ASRE project plan. Afterwards, the co-ordinating and financing advisers (CFA) analyse what possibilities are available to finance the project and partners are contacted. Then starts the process of engineering design in section 5, where the engineers and trainers do their work. Also, do-cumentation for prototype construction and educational planning are processed here in section 5 (see below).

ASRE Activities in Germany

__________________

In Germany, the ASRE works together with non government organisations, partner firms and employment training agencies. Here we play a part in fighting unemployment. We have also developed a specific form of technology transfer that prevents mistakes being made between partners and project participants during the project work, in the homeland and abroad. The units shown below have been build together with our partners in Germany. The people involved are partly in employment training.

Information Concerning ASRE-Prototypes

___________________________

All ASRE Prototypes are built in Hamburg Germany. To receive further information, please contact us. You can contact us over our internet address under:

www.usefullwaste.com

ASRE Prototypes are built using the principle of energy transformers. One example of an energy transformer is the parable mirror concentrator, which we have designed as a solar cooker. Mounted in the parable mirror focal point is a cooking pot, which is heated up by the sunrays being bundled by reflection and then directly focused onto the bottom of the pot. We will gladly give you more information concerning our activities. You can send us your questions via e-mail and we then will contact you shortly thereafter.

General Information
